KINGSTON, Ont. — The Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) has invested $68.5 million for 11 Regional Tourism Organizations (RTOs) across southern Ontario and the Indigenous Tourism Ontario.

As part of this investment, RTO 9 is receiving a non-repayable contribution of three million through the Tourism Relief Fund, delivered by FedDev Ontario. With this funding, RTO 9 is providing eligible tourism businesses with up to $100,000 to help support the recovery of local tourism businesses and investing in new products and services. The application deadline is May 15 at 4 p.m.

“South Eastern Ontario offers travellers history, charm and access to some of Ontario’s most cherished waterways, and our tourism operators are eager to welcome back visitors,” says the Honourable Helena Jaczek, minister responsible for FedDev Ontario. “Through FedDev Ontario’s Tourism Relief Fund investment in RTO 9, the Government of Canada is investing in the future of this region’s tourism sector, providing support for exciting new offerings and experiences.”
