CHEVY CHASE, Md. — The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. has unveiled a newly designed brand logo and voice, developed using feedback from customers around the world.

The new logo features bolder text standing in greater prominence under a sleeker incarnation of the brand’s historical lion and crown icon. A new “memorable” blue is also part of the brand’s identity refresher, taking the place of its cobalt predecessor.

“We believe as an iconic brand that it is our responsibility to provide thought leadership to drive change in the luxury and hospitality arena,” said Herve Humler, president and COO, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C.

This is the first time in the 32 year history of The Ritz-Carlton that any changes have been made to the brand’s lion and crown logo. The move is intended to help maintain the company’s position with a new generation of guests.

The brand’s image updates will be implemented across all guest touch points during the next year.
