Innovation, technology, design, sustainability: these are the macro trends that will transpire in the solutions that will converge in the leading international HoReCa event at FieraMilano (Milan Trade Show) in Rho, Italy, from October 13 to 17.

Global hospitality is growing and taking on new challenges thanks to innovation, a great asset, which has always been a part of HostMilano’s DNA: product and service innovation. Structured solutions for complex times will materialize in the halls of FieraMilano Rho next October 13-17, in the five-day event that every two years serves as a compass for hospitality professionals to navigate the future of the industry. It is all happening in Milan, the capital of Made in Italy design and style.

New technologies, from Iot (Internet of Things) to AI (Artificial Intelligence), for customer and equipment management, Made in Italy and non-Italian design, Tableware and Furnishing solutions, indoor and outdoor, machinery for processing and production ranging from cooking to mixology and pastry, to ice cream and coffee. It is a world in turmoil that transcends national and industry boundaries to engage the consumer and his/her newly found needs and demands; an informed consumer concerned about his/her own health as well as the sustainability of our planet.

That’s why it is more important than ever to be there in October, to attend the 43rd edition of HostMilano, the leading international trade fair for HoReCa.

The future of hospitality now hangs in the balance: a huge industry that is expected to grow globally by +5.9 percent (CAGR) from 34.74 billion to 36.80 billion dollars in 2023, according to The Business Research Company’s Food Service Equipment Market Report 2023. Considering the same compound growth rate, the value of global sales could reach 46.29 billion dollars in 2027.

Solutions from 44 countries

The future will come to life in the FieraMilano center facilities thanks to the presence of more than 1,400 companies (and that is only the companies already registered) from 44 countries that will present their solutions in the name of sustainability and digital transformation. Companies from Germany, Spain, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, but also from the U.S. and of course Italy with the full allure of its technology and design hand-in-hand.

It all happens in one place

In a complex period where sectors are hybridizing, the formula that, over the years and ahead of its time, has boasted the success of HostMilano proves to be the winning card, providing a complete overview of the entire professional hospitality industry in five days and in one place. The event is actually divided into three macro-areas, which, in addition to the vertical insights, enhances the supply chain affinities between specialized sectors: Professional Catering-Bakery, Pizza and Pasta; Coffee-Tea, Coffee Bar-Vending Machines; Ice Cream-Pastry; Furniture-Technology and Tableware.

At the International Coffee Show, which has always been an international point of reference for the sector, there will be no shortage of Italian and foreign supply chain stakeholders, spanning from the bean to the cup, including coffee machines, grinders and semi-finished products.

Education, Entertainment and everything in-between

In addition to the exhibition itinerary, innovation will be the leading theme at Host 2023, in its constantly being updated schedule bubbling with hundreds of events and available on the HostMilano website at fieramilano.it. A full program of workshops and seminars, international championships, cooking-shows, debates and engaging multisensory experiences activated also thanks to HostMilano’s collaboration with Italian and foreign entities such as FCSI International, SCA, ANIMA Confindustria, FIPE, APCI, FIC and POLI.design and with leading professionals, Chefs, Baristas and Maîtres-Pâtissiers. The various partnerships activated with trade associations include excellent representation from Canada thanks to Restaurants Canada, BAC – Baking Association of Canada, CAMA-ACAD – Canadian Automatic Merchandising Association and CICC – Convenience Industry Council of Canada.

Lastly, all eyes on: Smart Label – Host Innovation Award, the award promoted by HostMilano and Fiera Milano in partnership with POLI.design and sponsored by ADI – Industrial Design Association. For five editions now and at a glance, it highlights the products and solutions of exhibiting companies that stand out for functionality, technology, environmental sustainability, ethics or social implications in three categories: Smart Label for its characterizing innovative content, Innovation Smart Label for innovation that exceeds established trends, and Green Smart Label for eco-sustainability.

HostMilano will be held at FieraMilano from 13 and 17 October 2023.
