TORONTO — Shaileen Shah is the new general manager at The Drake Hotel. Shah will be overseeing the upcoming 32-room modern-wing expansion.
After starting her career in Toronto, Shah returned to her native Kenya, where she served as director of Operations for Tribe Hotel in Nairobi from 2012 to 2017. She was then appointed general manager of Tribe’s sister hotel property, Trademark Hotel. Shah returned to Toronto in October 2020.
“It’s a special privilege to experience hospitality across the world and be able to return home to be a part of an iconic Canadian property.
