HAMILTON, Ont. — IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) has honoured Darko Vranich, president & CEO of Vrancor Group and his team with a 2024 Performance Award for outstanding achievements and commitment to upholding IHG’s mission to deliver “True Hospitality for Good” every day. Considered the most prestigious IHG internal honour among the Americas region, the annual Performance Awards recognize hotels for leadership and metrics attainment among several key criteria, including guest service and satisfaction, cleanliness and amplification of the IHG One Rewards loyalty program.
Staybridge Suites Niagara-on-the-Lake, Holiday Inn Express Niagara on-the-Lake and Holiday Inn Express Sarnia – Point Edward, proudly owned and operated by Vrancor Group, are among 696 Performance Awards honourees selected among the organization’s nearly 4,500 regional hotels spanning the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Latin America and South America. More specifically, Staybridge Suites Niagara on-the-Lake and Holiday Inn Express Sarnia – Point Edward received IHG’s Torchbearer award, given to given to IHG hotels that have achieved “elite” status and exceeded guest experience metric targets. Holiday Inn Express Niagara on-the-Lake received IHG’s Spirit of True Hospitality Excellence award, given to hotels that have achieved “elite” status and received cleanliness survey scores of at least 90 and also received IHG’s Journey to Tomorrow Impact award; given to hotels that exemplify the spirit of IHG’s Journey to Tomorrow responsible business plan and have implemented initiatives and activities to increase their positive impact on the community and environment.
