BANFF, Alta. – The Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity has revealed the speakers and topics for its Purposeful Travel Summit, an event set to re-define the landscape of travel through the integration of sustainability, education and a shared commitment to bettering the world. Set to take place on Feb. 7 to 9, 2024, the summit marks a pivotal moment in the travel industry, igniting a collective shift towards purposeful, intentional and sustainable travel that lasts.
The summit will begin with a panel discussion, The Future of Tourism in the Bow Valley and beyond, featuring local tourism administrators, practitioners and environmental advocates. The two-day summit will offer participants a wide range of facilitated sessions, panel discussions and presentations hosted by various CEOs, sustainable travel advocates and Indigenous leaders from across the world.
Keynote speakers for the summit include Martha Honey, Ph.D., CEO of Responsible Travel Consulting and director emeritus of the Center for Responsible Travel (CREST), and Casey Hanisko, founder and owner of Casey Hanisko LLC, a leadership, business, travel marketing and sustainability consulting firm. With more than 50 years of combined experience in the world of travel and tourism, the expertise of these speakers promises to leave a lasting impression on not only summit participants, but the future of the sustainable travel industry as a whole.
