CALGARY — The Alberta Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) recently held its annual housekeeping awards recognizing excellence in housekeeping and maintenance in the lodging industry.
The list of winners includes hotels such as The Calgary Marriott Downtown Hotel, The Hyatt Regency Calgary and The Best Value Inn’s properties in Calgary and Lethbridge, Alta.
It’s the second year in a row The Best Value Inn’s properties and its housekeeping supervisor, Faye Brisbois, have won. “It’s a special feeling to see someone so happy and see the reward of hard work pay off,” said Lori Andrew, GM, Best Value Inn’s. “Faye is a determined soul, and she truly cares. Faye wholeheartedly gives everything of herself [to] Canada’s Best Value Inn in Calgary, and we’re so thankful to have her.”
The 179 winners were chosen based on inspection results. They will be honoured at the Housekeeping Awards Gala April 15 at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
