TORONTO — The LCBO’s website is temporarily down as the alcohol distributer removes all U.S. alcohol products in response to President Donald Trump’s tariffs on Canadian goods. It’s unknown how long this process will take.
“At the direction of Premier (Doug Ford), U.S. products are being removed from LCBO shelves,” said Ivana Yelich, spokesperson for the Premier in a post on X yesterday morning.
“We stand united with our government’s actions,” Tony Elenis, president & CEO of the Ontario Restaurant Hotel and Motel Association told CTV News. “All people in Ontario should. The consequences are much greater if we don’t.”
