ATLANTA, Ga. — Jolyon Bulley has been appointed Americas COO for the Atlanta-based InterContinental Hotels Group.

The new COO will head the operations for IHG’s more than 3,600 hotels, strengthen existing franchisee relationships and develop new ones.“[Bulley’s] global experience across various disciplines undoubtedly will help us continue to deliver brands that are preferred by our guests and drive results for our owners, while further strengthening our senior leadership team,” said Kirk Kinsell, president, the Americas.

Bulley, who brings more than 30 years of hospitality industry experience, joined IHG in his native Australia in 2001. Most recently, he served as IHG’s COO for the Greater China region. He was integral to the development of the company’s Hualuxe Hotels & Resorts brand, which is the industry’s first international, luxury hotel brand created to meet the needs and tastes of the Chinese consumer. Prior to his position in Greater China, Bulley worked in senior roles across IHG’s Asia, Middle East and Africa region.
