MCLEAN, Va. —Hilton has announced new benefits for all 60 million existing members of its Hilton Honors program, including the option to shop with points on Amazon.com.
“At Hilton, we are committed to continually innovating to deliver exceptional experiences for our guests,” says Christopher J. Nassetta, president and CEO, Hilton. “Enabling our Hilton Honors members to use their points to shop on Amazon.com, along with the other industry-first perks we’re announcing today, are some of the many ways we are honouring that commitment.”
Based on guest feedback, Hilton Honors now offers numerous ways to utilize points — including combining points and money for a hotel stay, using points on Amazon.com, combining points with family and friends and extended Diamond status.
“These new perks revolutionize how all Hilton Honors members can use their points. Frequent travellers told us they want more flexibility while less-frequent travellers want to be able to use their points in more ways and more quickly,” says Mark Weinstein, SVP and global head of Customer Engagement, Loyalty and Partnerships at Hilton.
In conjunction with the new benefits, Hilton has also introduced a new logos for Hilton and Hilton Honors. The company has dropped “Worldwide” from its title and going forward will simply be “Hilton.” Its membership program will likewise shed some weight, dropping one H from the “HHonors” title to “Honors.”
