TORONTO — Four Seasons has announced that all of its city and resort properties worldwide are switching to paraben-free toiletry products made by L’Occitane.

The report, which recently appeared in USA Today, says the chain is not abandoning its current supplier of toiletries, but merely switching to the company’s new line of paraben-free products.

Parabens are widely used as preservatives in personal-care products. Parabens are considered safe, but there are some concerns due to possible links to certain cancers.

Rob Hagelberg, the Four Seasons Austin’s general manager says unless guests pay close attention to the products, they will not notice a change.

This move is in line with the hotel’s commitment to use more natural products in its spas.
