EDMONTON — Vancouver-based Coast Hotels is expanding its presence in Alberta with the opening of the Coast Nisku Inn & Conference Centre. The property will sport the Coast Hotels’ brand effective Nov. 15.
A complete overhaul of the 15,000 sq.-ft. centrally located atrium will offer guests a pool, waterpark with slide, open-concept dining, espresso bar and café, as well as a fitness centre. Updates to the building’s exterior are also underway.
The new franchise property complements the brand’s existing Alberta presence, including locations in Canmore, Calgary, downtown Edmonton and Lethbridge. The branding of the hotel will be completed with owner and operator, Mayfair Hotels.

Offering 156 well-appointed guestrooms and suites, the Coast Nisku Inn & Conference Centre will service meetings and conferences, leisure travellers seeking a relaxing stopover and locals who simply want a refresh. The hotel will have approximately 24,000-sq.-ft. of flexible meeting space and offer amenities including a health club, entertainment and business centre, hair salon, gift-shop, restaurant, pub, extended airport parking and complimentary 24-hour airport shuttle.
The addition of the new Alberta franchise property will bring Coast Hotels’ total properties to 38 in Western North America — covering two provinces, two territories and five U.S. states.
