HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. — Canadian hotel performance reported slightly lower occupancy for the week ending November 14 compared to prior weeks, according to STR data.
In a year-over-year comparison, the industry reported a 53.5-per-cent drop in occupancy to 27.8 per cent, a 25.9-per-cent decrease in Average Daily Rate (ADR) to $110.36 and a 65.5-per-cent decrease in Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR) to $30.70. For comparison, the previous week, ending November 7, saw occupancy of 29.4 per cent, ADR at $110.45 and RevPAR of $32.53.
Nova Scotia recorded the week’s highest provincial occupancy level at 35 per cent (down from 36.1 per cent the previous week). Vancouver saw the highest occupancy level at 29 per cent (down from 31.9 per cent the previous week).
With occupancy at 17.7 per cent, Quebec reported the week’s lowest provincial occupancy (up slightly from 17.5 per cent the previous week). And, at the market level, the lowest occupancy was seen in Montreal, with occupancy at 14.8 per cent (up from 14.4 per cent the previous week).
