The Canadian Hospitality Foundation is Canada’s largest industry-driven source of scholarships for men and women pursuing professional education and training for life-long careers in the hospitality, foodservice, lodging and tourism industry. It not only raises funds for scholarships but also acts as a clearing-house for their promotion, administration and processing.

The Foundation also serves as a vehicle for hospitality, foodservice, lodging and tourism corporations to invest in the future of their industry through their support of its scholarship program. The Foundation seeks to ensure that best and the brightest men and women are rewarded for their efforts and enthusiasm and brought to the attention of the industry.

The Foundation was first established in 1962 by the Canadian Restaurant Association (now the Canadian Restaurant & Foodservices Association). In November of 1993 the Foundation was ceded to the Ontario Hostelry Institute which currently administered and manages the Canadian Hospitality Foundation. The Foundation awards approximately $200,000 annually to selected Universities and Colleges across Canada. It is guided by a Board of Directors, made up of senior executives from the hospitality, foodservice, lodging, tourism sectors of the industry and post-secondary educators.
