TORONTO — In celebration of International Women’s Day, The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto has unveiled its newly appointed lineup of female leaders in sales and marketing, rooms and hotel management.

Stacey Rodrigues was appointed to hotel manager in November 2023. In her new role, Rodrigues oversees daily operations of the property, including supervising numerous operational departments such as front office, housekeeping, business centre and food and beverage as the hotel undergoes extensive renovations. In her previous role at the hotel, Rodrigues was director of Sales and Marketing for nearly six years.

Hughena Walsh has been recently appointed to director of Sales & Marketing, effective February 2024. In this role, Walsh functions as the key leader of the property’s Sales and Marketing departments. She oversees key initiatives and strategies in order to achieve the property’s robust revenue goals. Walsh has more than 21 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Previously, she was the regional director, Sales & Marketing at Toronto Marriott City Centre Hotel and Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel & Conference Centre.

Felicia Mongelli was appointed to director of Sales in March 2023. In this role, Mongelli’s primary focus is to provide support to the sales team and is responsible for motivating and driving results to ensure the hotel meets and exceeds its group-booking goal. She was previously a senior Sales executive at the property from November 2018 to 2023. With more than 20 years of experience working in the hospitality industry, Mongelli cultivates long-term relationships with clients by providing consistent and efficient customer service.

Lastly, Victoria Simmons was appointed to director of Rooms in March 2023 where she oversees the extensive housekeeping and front-office departments, ensuring guest satisfaction and profitability. Additionally, Simmons is managing the hotel’s full scale guestroom renovation set to be complete in 2025 for the property’s 50th anniversary. She’s been employed at The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto since 2015, working her way from assistant director of Banquets to her current position.
