LUND, B.C. — The Lund Resort at Klah ah men is on a winning streak, with the resort recently receiving the Aboriginal Business Award and Tourism Service Award at the annual Powell River Chamber of Commerce Business Awards Dinner.

The resort, located on the Powell River in Lund, B.C., was also recognized at the eighth-annual International Indigenous Tourism Conference Awards Gala in November, where it received the award for Outstanding Indigenous Accommodations, presented by Indigenous Tourism B.C.
Following strategic changes, the resort (formerly the Historic Lund Hotel & Marina) became the first full-service Indigenous-owned and -operated destination resort on the Sunshine Coast of B.C. just one year ago. The Tla’amin Nation’s three-year strategic plan for the resort includes ongoing renovations and additions to the main hotel building, the General Store and 13 Moons Marina, with expanded marine adventure tours and new elements coming in summer 2020 to include a Tla’amin Nation cultural centre featuring highly interactive demonstrations and ‘glamping tents’ — a contemporary experience in outdoor luxury camping.
