Kimpton Plants

SAN FRANCISCO — Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has launched its new global Plant Pals Program to provide regionally sourced plants for guests to enjoy in-room, upon request.

Choosing from Kimpton’s native plant menu, dictated by each property’s location, guests can select their plant pal – each coming with a unique name tag, such as Morgan Treeman, Snake Gyllenhaal and Nagini (The Snake Plant). Guests can simply call the front desk to request their complimentary plant to be placed in their room to brighten their stay before or any time after check in.

As part of the brand’s evolving ESG commitment to source locally and work with like-minded brands, Kimpton has partnered with Plant Kween, a Brooklyn-based Black, queer and non-binary influencer specializing in plants, to curate a unique selection of region-based, native plants for each property to offer in a sustainable way.

Samplings of plants at Kimpton properties around the world include White Sage and Prickly Pear Cactus from women-owned nursey Idyll Mercantile and Blk Girls Green House at Kimpton Canary Hotel in Santa Barbara and Kimpton Alton Hotel in San Francisco. Those travelling internationally can enjoy English Ivy and Baby’s Tears at Kimpton Vividora Hotel in Barcelona, among others.
