NEW YORK – The iPad now accounts for 86 per cent of Four Seasons mobile room revenues, according to USA Today.
Four Seasons marketing chief Susan Helstab explained that conversion of website visits to revenue on an iPad is five times that of a mobile phone. “It has the content people look for but also allows for spontaneous decisions. Even if you are already at a hotel,” Helstab told USA Today.
The company has recently updated its website for mobile travellers and added personalization features, including recognition of customers and their interests. It also incorporates customer reviews from other websites and user photos.
The company launched a mobile website for iPads, iPhones and Androids, instead of releasing apps.
