VAUGHAN, Ont. — IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG), recently celebrated the grand opening of its first Canadian avid hotels property in Vaughan, Ont. Operating under the ownership of PI Cap, the avid hotel Toronto – Vaughan Southwest is the first of four planned properties across Canada to open.
The grand opening was marked with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour of the property. Mark Reeves, regional vice-president Operations, Canada – IHG Hotels & Resorts and Karen Gilbride, vice-president of avid hotels – IHG Hotels & Resorts, spoke about the avid journey and how it all began.
The hotel, which launched at the end of last year, is located 15 minutes from Toronto Pearson International Airport. The avid hotel Toronto – Vaughan Southwest introduces the brand’s “basics done exceptionally well – at a fair price” promise to regional business and leisure travellers.
