CHICAGO, Ill. — Chicago’s Hyatt Hotels announced today that its Hyatt affiliate has entered into a management contract with Ottawa’s Claridge Homes to open an Andaz hotel in Ottawa next year — the first in Canada.

Andaz was a natural fit for Ottawa’s Byward Market neighbourhood,” said David Tarr, SVP, Development, Americas for Hyatt. “Andaz Ottawa Byward Market will bring to life the brand’s mission of creating inspiring, indigenous experiences and immersing guests into the destination’s local culture. We believe Andaz Ottawa Byward Market will convey the vibrant, international spirit of Canada’s capital city.”
The 200-room hotel will be located at 325 Dalhousie St. in Ottawa’s Byward Market neighbourhood. The hotel will feature a destination restaurant and a rooftop bar and lounge, including an outdoor terrace. Meeting facilities will include six Andaz Studios as well as a lounge area with an open kitchen.
