TORONTO — Hotel X Toronto has launched the Proto Epic, a first-of-its-kind holographic concierge and the first one at a hotel in Canada.
The virtual concierge will highlight the amenities of the hotel, including the rooftop pool, fitness facility, Guerlain spa, theatre and more. A few investors in this project are Paris Hilton, P.Diddy, Howie Mandel and Ellen DeGeneres.
The Proto Epic allows for a seamless full concierge experience without direct interactions. In September, the Proto Epic received 22,943 views, a great response as the hotel checks in approximately 4,452 guests per month. On average, for every guest staying at the hotel, the Proto Epic was used five times during their stay. Additionally, nearly 60 per cent of guests that used the Proto Epic used the virtual concierge for a minimum of two to more than 15 minutes.
