VANCOUVER — Destination Canada has added two new members to its board of directors. Zita Cobb and Andrew Torriani have each been appointed to four-year terms and will participate in the organization’s board meeting in September.

Appointed by the Government of Canada, Destination Canada’s board guides the organization’s strategic direction.

Cobb is the co-founder and CEO of the Shorefast Foundation, based on Fogo Island in Newfoundland, which operates the Fogo Island Inn. She was awarded the Order of Canada in acknowledgement of the work of the foundation in collaboration with the community of Fogo Island to help secure a more resilient future for this singular rural place.

Torriani is CEO and general manager of Ritz-Carlton Montréal. He began his hospitality career at a young age and went on to graduate from Queens University and McGill and led Air Canada’s Human Resources team before joining Ritz-Carlton in 1996.
