VANCOUVER — Destination B.C. has appointed six new members to its Tourism Marketing Committee.To replace six outgoing committee members, Destination B.C. issued a call for applications in November 2015. More than 50 applications were received and reviewed by Destination B.C.’s board, CEO and regional tourism industry representatives. The new members include:

• Michael J. Ballingall, SVP Sales & Marketing, Big White Ski Resort (Thompson Okanagan)
• Tyler Beckley, owner/GM, Three Bars Guest Ranch (Kootenay Rockies)
• Mike Randall, marketing director, Langara Fishing Adventures (Northern B.C.)
• Ty Speer, CEO, Tourism Vancouver (Vancouver, Coast & Mountains)
• Brenda Baptiste, board chair and interim CEO, Aboriginal Tourism B.C. (provincial representative)
• Anne Murray, VP, Marketing & Communications, Vancouver Airport Authority (member at large)
Patrick Corbett and Angela Rafuse-Tahir were also re-appointed to represent Cariboo Chilcotin Coast and Vancouver Island, respectively.

“The Tourism Marketing Committee has provided Destination B.C. with valuable advice and support over the last few years, during the creation of the corporation’s new strategy and marketing plan and the development of new industry-facing programs,” says Andrea Shaw, chair of Destination B.C.’s Board of Directors. “The Board and staff at Destination B.C. look forward to working with this experienced and knowledgeable group of tourism industry marketing experts.”
