FAIRFAX, Va. — Kathleen Barone is the new vice-president of Global Sales at Crescent Hotels & Resorts. She brings more than 25 years of hotel sales and revenue-management experience to the company and its portfolio of more than 100 hotels and resorts in Canada and the U.S.
In her new role, Barone will serve as the direct report for both regional and national sales employees, motivate team members to optimal performance and further develop sales from a global perspective. Most recently, Barone was a senior account executive at Marriott International in Pittsburgh, Pa., where she consistently exceeded goals and managed some of Marriott’s Top Global Accounts with results generating annual combined year-over-year spend increases of 10 to 20 per cent. She was also the recipient of Marriott’s President’s award for outstanding sales for three consecutive years. Prior to that, Barone was responsible for sales-and-marketing initiatives at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott Hotel where she received Marriott’s Global and Eastern Regional Director of Sales and Marketing award.
