VANCOUVER — Toronto-based Oxford Properties Group is working with chef David Hawksworth to open a high-end restaurant at Vancouver’s upcoming MNP Tower, according to The Vancouver Sun.

Located on Hastings Street, the restaurant set to open in late 2015, will feature 120 seats in a 7,400-sq.-ft. space on the building’s ground floor and mezzanine.

Though he wouldn’t describe the specific style of cuisine at the establishment, Hawksworth told The Sun the restaurant would feature a prominent bar, a “relaxed but vibrant atmosphere” and a range of food and drink options. “The façade of the building is what first drew me to it,” he told the paper. “The location is the old home of the University and Quadra Clubs, situated between the Marine Building and the Guinness Tower. It reminds me of something you would see in New York or London and speaks to the city’s heritage.” [The Vancouver Sun]
