LACHUTE, Que. — Activar Hotels has opened its brand-new Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham, Lachute in Quebec. The hotel comprises 72 guestrooms, including extended-stay suites with kitchenettes, and offers a continental breakfast, a gym and a meeting room that can be booked for professional meetings or other events.

The hotel project brings together eight local investors, supported by Roynat Capital and Investissement Québec. Furthermore, the Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED) has contributed a $1 million loan. In addition to being an investor, Activar Hotels is managing the new hotel.

The Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham, Lachute is built following the new MODA concept developed by the Microtel brand. The design creates financial advantages for developers and shareholders, and ensures an architectural product that integrates efficiency, functionality and comfort. Additionally, it’s the fifth hotel in Activar Hotels’ portfolio of managed properties.

“We’re extremely proud to see this project take off. The Lachute community is active and engaged, and we’ve witnessed this through our partners’ commitment and the community’s enthusiasm,” says Mathieu Mault, CEO, Activar Hotels. “It’s exciting to manage the operations of a hotel in a strong market.”

“It’s with great pride and open arms that the city of Lachute welcomes this hotel project that will have a determining impact on the development of our city,” says Mayor Bernard Bigras-Denis. “This project responds to a growing need for accommodations that are practical, economical and modern and able to satisfy the demand for our numerous sporting and cultural events, as well as our business tourism.”
