SAN FRANCISCO — 1 Hotels is celebrating Earth Month with a series of brand and property offerings. For the month of April, all eight nature-inspired properties in North America, as well as 1 Hotel Mayfair (London), will launch activities and initiatives that promote a more collective effort towards protecting the planet.
Food-and-beverage events include:
- A Supper that Sustains Us: In partnership with local vendors, several properties will host a dinner to highlight fresh offerings available to the local community.
- Chefs by Nature: The Chefs by Nature Dinner Series features chefs Melissa King and Dan Churchill to celebrate local farmers and sustainable cuisine.
- Earth Month Cocktail: Across all properties, guests can enjoy Blue Horizon, the zero-waste cocktail featuring Copalli Rum along with aloe vera, blue spirulina and clarified lime.
- Zero-Waste Mixology Masterclass: Across all properties, guests can learn how to create cocktails that incorporate zero-waste practices in partnership with 818 Tequila.
Additionally Earth Month programming includes:
- Sustainable Pop-Up Retail Shops: 1 Hotel Central Park & 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge are partnering with ANYBAG to collect single-use plastic bags, which will then be upcycled and transformed into totes and bags. Additionally, the Second Life Pop-Up Shop at 1 Hotel Toronto offers a selection of home goods and vintage clothing by Toronto businesses.
- Mind and Movement: Mind and movement events will be rooted in nature, including a Meditation & Beach Clean Up at 1 Hotel South Beach, a weekly ‘Ohana Nature Walk at 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay and Guided Run Club with Alo x Louis Chandler at 1 Hotel West Hollywood.
- Earth Month Workshops: 1 Hotel San Francisco will teach guests how to design their own floral arrangements with California wedding florist Unwritten Florals, and 1 Hotel West Hollywood is hosting a hands-on planting experience, guided by plant coach Nick Cutsumpasis.
- Wellness Offerings: 1 Hotel West Hollywood is highlighting the B Grounded + Earth Journey, designed to ground the mind, body and soul. Additionally, the property is hosting the HigherDOSE Infrared Earth Day Lounge to offer complimentary holistic healing treatments and giveaways.
