TORONTO — Canadian hotel prices saw an increase of three per cent, according to the biannual Hotel Price Index (HPI) report by Hotels.com, which examined hotel prices in 2011.

Overall, markets that saw increased hotel prices included North America, Europe, the Middle East and the Pacific. Notable cities included Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver as the top-three travel destinations for Canadian and international travellers and Lake Louise, Alta., Blue Mountains, Ont., and Mont Tremblant, Que., took top spots as the most expensive Canadian destinations.
