TORONTO — The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto has appointed Lukas Boeckmann as its new general manager. Boeckmann, who has served as the hotel manager since 2022, brings a wealth of experience in luxury hospitality and a distinguished career with The Ritz-Carlton brand.

In his role as hotel manager, Boeckmann played a pivotal part in maintaining The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto’s prestigious Forbes Five-Star rating. Under his leadership, the hotel earned numerous accolades, including Classic Luxury Hotel of the Year and placement in Travel + Leisure’s Top 500 Hotels of the World. The hotel has also been consistently recognized for excellence in guest engagement, with Intent to Recommend scores reaching the “80’s Club” for the past two years.

Boeckmann began his journey with Marriott International in 2008 at Hanbury Manor, a Marriott Hotel & Country Club in the U.K. He soon transitioned to The Ritz-Carlton brand, where he held several leadership roles across premier properties around the globe, including The Ritz-Carlton hotels in Bahrain, Abama, Vienna and Wolfsburg. His expertise also made him a sought-after leader for taskforce assignments and hotel openings, supporting properties in Budapest, Almaty, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The general manager role was previously held by Guillaume Benezech, who has since transitioned to another role within Marriott focused on leadership and strategy development coaching.
