TORONTO — SOCO Kitchen + Bar has re-opened at Delta Hotels Toronto, featuring a refreshed design, a menu inspired by Canada’s diverse flavours, unique bar menu and a new street-level café entrance.
“SOCO has always been known for great food, but now, with this renovation, the entire dining experience — from presentation to ambiance — matches the quality of our cuisine,” says executive chef Vidish. “We are excited to showcase a menu that highlights the best of Canadian ingredients, from P.E.I. mussels to Ontario beef, while also bringing global flavours that reflect Toronto’s international essence.”
New menu highlights include Steak Tartare, made with Martins Farm sirloin, pickled shimeji, shallots, quail egg yolk, potato chips and crostini; Pulled Chicken Caesar, made with rotisserie-roasted Voltigeurs Farm chicken, local greens, grated egg, house Caesar dressing, crispy prosciutto and parmesan; Soco Burger, made with a 70:30 chuck and brisket patty, double-smoked bacon, beet & onion jam and served on a house-made milk bun; and more. The new café offers house-made brioche sandwiches, pastries and coffee.
Featured cocktails include the Harbour Breeze, made with Chopin vodka, rose briottete, lemon juice, simple syrup and egg white; Loma Kava, made with Signal Hill whisky, crème de cacaso, amaretto, Kahlua, espresso and Xocolatl Mole; and Eglinton Ember, made with Thai chili-infused Espolón Reposado, coconut liqueur, simple syrup, calamansi and orange juice. Additionally, SOCO offers a Low & No menu, featuring 10 selections of mocktails, low-alcohol wines, beers and spirit-free drinks.
Led by Navigate Design, the renovated space features custom-built banquettes, a refined bar with leather panels and bespoke metal shelving paying homage to Toronto’s industrial roots.
“We’re creating a space where guests can enjoy incredible food, thoughtfully crafted drinks and an inviting atmosphere that seamlessly transitions from day to night,” says Lisa Johal, director of Food & Beverage at Delta Hotels Toronto.
SOCO’s menu will evolve seasonally, and its patio is slated to open this summer.
