VICTORIA — Inn at Laurel Point in Victoria, B.C. has welcomed Navid Sariolghalam as its new managing director and general manager. Eda Koot, outgoing general manager, concluded her role after nearly three years with the hotel.
Bringing more than 40 years of experience in the hotel industry, Sariolghalam has worked throughout hotel operations, from guest services to executive leadership across Canada. His journey began as a valet at Le Meriden in Vancouver. He worked in various departments throughout the hotel and eventually became VP of The Sutton Place Hotels.
Sariolghalam also provides ongoing support to local charitable fundraising initiatives in Vancouver, such as PALS Autism School, Canucks Ronald McDonald House, B.C. Children’s Hospital and B.C. Cancer.
