TORONTO — Spanish hotel chain RIU Hotels & Resorts is set to open its first Canadian establishment, the RIU Plaza Toronto, in late 2025.

Situated at 30 Widmer Street in Toronto’s Entertainment District, the 48-storey tower will house the hotel on its first 28 floors, with the upper levels dedicated to condo units. The south tower, also part of the development, will be a 49-storey condo building. Both towers are designed by BDP Quadrangle for developer Plaza.

The RIU Plaza Toronto will feature 352 rooms, a conference room accommodating up to 38 people, a lobby bar, a 24-hour gym and a restaurant offering a buffet breakfast.
