NEW YORK CITY — Wingate by Wyndham is set to grow in the U.S. and Canada, thanks to a new deal with the Morgan Hill, Calif.-based Corinthian Development Company.

The agreement will see $250 million invested to build 15 new-construction Wingate by Wyndham units during the next two years. “This agreement presents a significant opportunity to leverage the improving new-construction development environment and increase our Wingate by Wyndham portfolio by more than 10 per cent,” said Bob Loewen, EVP and COO of the Parsippany, N.J.-based Wyndham Hotel Group. “Wingate by Wyndham has always been a consistent, well-performing brand, and we’re confident our partners’ expertise, combined with their dedication, will help drive continued growth and success.”

Properties are slated to be built in top markets, such as Toronto, Vancouver, Denver, Seattle, Nashville and Boston. Franchised units will be managed by Dallas, Texas-based Aimbridge Hospitality, which operates 30 units under various Wyndham Hotel Group bran
