CALGARY — Frederic Hoffmann is the new executive chef at The Westin Calgary hotel, taking the helm of Essence restaurant, Liquid Lounge as well as the hotel’s banquet operations.

“We are thrilled to welcome chef Hoffmann to the city as our new executive chef,” said Didier Luneau, GM of the hotel. “His talent and expertise in the kitchen is a tremendous asset to the team at The Westin Calgary. Locals and visitors to the city will enjoy his refreshing cooking style for years to come.”

Most recently, Hoffman was the executive sous chef at The King Edward Hotel in Toronto and has worked in culinary roles at Starwood Hotels and Resorts in Edmonton, San Francisco, Denver, Aspen, Colo., and Austin, Texas.
