MONTREAL — W Montreal has partnered with Instagram to celebrate the new social media-based art form and is seeking images highlighting the impact of urban design and architecture on a city.

The event is billed as Montreal’s largest Instagram photo exhibition. “W Montreal is thrilled to play host to this unique exhibit sharing this creative view of the city with our guests and the world,” said Jean-François Pouliot, GM, W Montreal.

An Oct. 10 launch party will feature Instagram photos that capture the beauty of Montreal’s architecture, design and street art. Entries from around the world can be uploaded to Instagram using the hashtag #WDESIGNMTL. The deadline for entries is Sept. 14.

Winners will have their photos displayed and they will be entered to win overnight accommodations in W Montreal’s Extreme Wow Suite. The exhibit is part of a series of W Hotels Instagram photo exhibits, which debuted in March in New York City.
