LISCOMB, N.S. — Matthew Mackenzie has been named GM of the Keltic Lodge Resort and Spa in Ingonish Beach, N.S., after successfully managing the property for New Castle Hotels and Resorts’ during the 2012 season.

Mackenzie managed the property during renovations. “The provincial government recognized those achievements and extended New Castle’s contract to operate the resort. With Matthew at the helm, I’m confident Keltic Lodge will continue to attract legions of repeat guests and worldwide acclaim,” said Gerry Chase, president and CEO of New Castle.

Mackenzie was previously GM at the Atlantica Hotel & Marina Oak Island in Nova Scotia and has held positions at Sooke Harbour House and Fairmont Chateau Whistler in B.C.

The Keltic Lodge Resort and Spa is owned by the provincial government of Nova Scotia; New Castle Hotels and Resorts have operated the property since 2002.
