VANCOUVER —The Victorian Hotel in Vancouver, B.C. is now offering electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, which are compatible with major electric vehicle models, including Tesla cars.
The news follows Tesla’s unveiling of the Model 3, its first affordable electric vehicle aimed towards the average consumer.
To accommodate guests arriving in electric vehicles, the boutique Victorian Hotel has built two EV charging stations on its lot and two more on its overflow off-site lot. All four stations offer high-speed charging, which provides shorter charging times for compatible vehicles.
The implementation of EV charging stations at hotels has been growing steadily across the country as more establishments strive to accommodate eco-conscious customers. In Ontario, Best Western has added charging stations to more than 20 of its locations and last November, Four Points by Sheraton Kelowna Airport Hotel partnered with Tesla to offer guests complimentary overnight charging.
