TORONTO — Vancouver’s L’Hermitage Hotel is the only Canadian property to have made Expedia.ca’s 2014 list of Insiders’ Select rankings.
The list recognizes the top-ranked hotels worldwide, as reviewed by almost two-million guests. “Every year we celebrate the Insiders’ Select list to honour the hotels and our commitment to giving customers a resource to make informed and confident hotel booking decisions that will fit any budget,” said Sean Shannon, managing director, Expedia.ca.
The list designates 650 hotels as Insiders’ Select properties from the 290,000 properties on Expedia, Inc. websites. Lakehouse Hotel and Resort, in San Marcos, Calif. tops the list. It’s followed by Blue Karma Resort in Seminyak, Bali and Dar Al Masyaf Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai.
Vancouver’s L’Hermitage Hotel earned the number-23 spot. The 60-room luxury property opened in 2008 and has since garnered numerous accolade; it’s currently the number-1 Vancouver hotel on TripAdvisor.
Insiders’ Select ranks hotels using verified guest reviews, Expedia hotel expert input and an analysis of overall hotel value.
