ALCARTIER, Que. — Valcartier Vacation Village has announced the construction of a major tourism complex, featuring an indoor waterpark and four-star hotel in Quebec.
“The idea behind building Valcartier Vacation Village’s recreation and tourism complex is to provide our vacationers, particularly families, with an optimal entertainment and accommodation experience,” said Guy Drouin, president, and GM, Valcartier Vacation Village. “Our expertise in waterpark and winter playground management has allowed us to improve this experience: our vacationers will now have the chance to visit a waterpark in any season. This type of attraction has never been seen before in Quebec.”
The indoor waterpark will cover more than 102,000 sq. ft. and will feature a wave pool, 14 waterslides, a family pool, multi-activity adventure river, a surf wave and private cabanas. The five-storey, four-star hotel will feature 153 guestrooms and a dormitory room that can accommodate groups of 60 people with five separate rooms. Other hotel amenities include a entertainment room with an arcade, spa with various baths and indoor/outdoor pool, a lounge-style sports bar and restaurant.
The complex is scheduled to open in December 2016.
