MONTREAL — Urgo Hotels Canada announced a major expansion project, which includes six new hotel openings in Quebec and close to 20 across the country under contract by the end of 2021.

The first new hotel is already open for business. The fully renovated Delta Mont-Sainte-Anne Resort and Conference Centre — a bike and ski resort located at the base of Mont-Sainte-Anne — boasts 211 rooms and suites, with outdoor activities year-round.

Urgo will also open a new hotel in Montreal — the 193-room Humaniti Hotel — as part of the Marriott Autograph Collection. Urgo plans to open two more hotels this summer, the 290 room Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites Midtown on Decarie Boulevard and the 270-room dual-branded Hampton Inn and Suites and Homewood Suites in downtown Montreal.

The company also announced that Serge Primeau has been nominated as its managingp and president.

“I am immensely proud of our team accomplishment as well as the successful completion of our summer 2021 expansion projects,” says Primeau. “The fact that UHC is opening brand-new hotels amidst a pandemic is a testament to both our organization’s North-American reputation for performance as well as our confidence for the coming years.”
