VANCOUVER — Two new Vancouver hotels will be opening in January, just in time for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, with demand for rooms expected to crest from Feb. 10 for some 24 days.

The 377-room Fairmont Pacific Rim will open next month under the watch of Randy Zupanski, general manager, and the 220-room Coast Coal Harbour Hotel, located in West Hastings, is scheduled for a Jan. 15 opening. The Olympic Games run Feb. 12 to 28, followed by the Paralympic Games from March 12 to 21.
