QUEBEC CITY — Tryp by Wyndham hotel is coming to Quebec City, marking the first opening of the select-service brand in North America.
“The opening of the first Tryp by Wyndham hotel in North America marks a truly exciting moment for our brand,” said Daniel del Olmo, brand senior vice-president. “Quebec City uniquely combines tradition with modern-day innovation to create an unmatched urban experience for visitors.”
The 242-room hotel, located steps from Old Quebec, features a minimalist decor, with Japanese soaking tubs or Euro-style glass-wall showers in the ensuite bathrooms, flat-screen TVs and complimentary high-speed wireless Internet. The hotel itself offers more than 9,000 square feet of event and meeting space divided into seven salons.
Table, Bar Gastronomique, the on-site restaurant, features tapas-style dishes that incorporate local and international flavours as well as a list of wines and handcrafted cocktails.
The new site launch is part of the brand strategy to expand Tryp’s presence throughout North and South American markets. Currently Tryp has sites in Sao Paulo, Brazil, San Jose and Costa Rica with plans to open its first U.S. location in New York City.
