MISSISSAUGA — Travelodge Suites by Wyndham New Glasgow, located in Pictou County in northern Nova Scotia, recently completed a multi-million-dollar renovation, transforming the hotel from top to bottom, including becoming 100-per-cent smoke-free.
The renovation features modern guestroom decor, including new furniture, fixtures, bedding, carpets, windows and window treatments, as well as a refreshed lobby, breakfast room and fitness room. The hotel also upgraded to guestroom tap key cards and 100-per-cent LED lighting.
“Our frequent guests were excited for the makeover and have told us how they love the new fresh, inviting look,” says Allayna Munroe, general manager, Travelodge Suites by Wyndham New Glasgow. “Our guests have always loved our comfortable beds and our friendly, welcoming service and now our decor matches those sentiments.”
The guestroom colour palette includes a soft-blue accent wall and bed scarf to bring out the coastal feel in the rooms, while the artwork showcases the local area.
“Our guests also love how they can easily plug in their devices now that all our lighting has USB and plug-ins on them for easy accessibility. No more pulling out the night stand to plug your phone in for the night,” adds Munroe.
The Travelodge Suites by Wyndham New Glasgow, managed by Holloway Lodging Corp., has received numerous accolades from guests, including a number-1 ranking on Trip Advisor for the New Glasgow area. The property was also awarded the “Hotel of the Year Award” from Travelodge in 2017 and holds an impressive top-20 ranking for customer satisfaction out of 409 Travelodge locations across North America.
