CALGARY —Travelodge Canada opens two new hotels in Atlantic Canada.

The Thriftlodge Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, owned by James Cha, opened in central Port Hastings on June 1. The 68-room property features free continental breakfast, free-high speed Internet access, on-site laundry facilities and free parking. The hotel also offers two on-site meeting rooms for meetings, banquets and events. All guestrooms boast in-room coffee, refrigerator and microwave.

The 132-room Travelodge Edmundston, New Brunswick, owned by James Youm, is the largest hotel in Edmundston, with meeting space for up to 180 people and an on-site bar and grill. The property offers free hot breakfast, free Wi-Fi and free parking, as well as pet-friendly rooms. Other amenities include a heated indoor swimming pool, hot-tub, sauna and fitness room.

“We’re excited to be opening these two new locations in Atlantic Canada. With eight locations now across the Maritimes, travellers in this region are really getting to know and love Travelodge,” says Trevor Hagel, Travelodge Canada vice-president of Operations.
