NEW YORK — Travel + Leisure has released the results from its 2015 World’s Best Awards, which showcases the greatest islands, cities, hotels, cruise lines and airports as voted by its readers.
The Wickaninnish Inn was ranked number-1 on the list of the Top Resorts in Canada. Located in Tofino on Vancouver Island’s west coast, the hotel is a top destination for foodies and outdoor enthusiasts from around the globe. “We are thrilled to be ranked, once again, among the world’s best by the readers of Travel + Leisure, said Charles McDiarmid, managing director. “We’ll be celebrating our 20th anniversary in 2016, and this latest recognition will make the milestone even more special for us.”
Four Seasons Resort & Residences in Whistler ranked second and the Fairmont Chateau Whistler ranked third.
In the World’s Best Hotel Category, winners include the Ritz-Carlton in Montreal, Auberge Saint-Antoine in Quebec City and Fairmont Waterfront in Vancouver.
