BRANTFORD, Ont. — Marriott International’s TownePlace Suites by Marriott Brantford, Ont. opened last week. The new hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Bawa Hospitality Management of Vaughan, Ont. General manager Fawad Khan and director of Sales Amber Kane lead the management team at the property.

The new property offers studio and one-bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchens, as well as separate living/working and sleeping areas. Suites feature full kitchens with stainless-steel appliances and granite countertops; adjustable work spaces with built-in shelves and lighting; a flat-screen televisions; and luxurious new bedding. Most rooms also feature the Home Office Suite, designed to provide guests with plenty of storage and flexible space. While staying at the hotel, travellers can unpack their suitcase in a custom elfa closet.
The TownePlace Suites Brantford and Conference Centre allows guests to maintain a healthy lifestyle with an array of food options, including complimentary hot breakfast, the 24-hour In a Pinch market and On Us coffee service. Guests can also grill up dinner on the outdoor Weber grills.
The six-storey hotel features a lobby bar and 8,000 sq. ft. of meeting space to accommodate functions of up to 600 people. The obstruction-free Grand Ballroom can also be divided into three separate rooms to host 150 people each. A boardroom and two additional breakout meeting rooms are also available. All meeting spaces offer state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment and lighting to enhance each event.
Other hotel amenities include an indoor saltwater pool, an outdoor patio with fire pits and barbecue area, a 24-hour fitness centre, laundry facilities, complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel and on-site business services, including copying, faxing and printing. The property is also pet-friendly (fees may apply).
