TORONTO — The Renaissance Toronto Downtown has reopened as the Toronto Marriott City Centre following a multi-million dollar renovation.

The redesigned hotel offers a spatially enhanced atmosphere, while its location offers views into the Rogers Centre Stadium — allowing guests to watch a Blue Jays game from the comfort of their own room or even from the revamped restaurant and bar.

“Our focus was to bring the brand to life, enabling us to create brilliant experiences for all our travellers,” says GM Dan Woodburn. “Our approach to the transformation project was to elevate key touchpoints of the guest experience through applying inventive and dynamic cornerstone values. Toronto Marriott City Centre has accomplished this and more, and we know our guests will be thrilled.”

Rooms have been transformed to feature mobile check-in and keyless entry, spa-inspired bathrooms, Simmons Recharge Plush mattresses and a state-of-the-art entertainment system featuring seamless access through 55″ LED HD televisions offering Netflix, YouTube and other popular apps.

Additional features include a fully renovated fitness centre featuring all new equipment, Fitness on Demand virtual-fitness classes and an oversized, heated indoor pool. The hotel also boasts a one-of-a-kind dining and bar experience in the now renovated lobby-level restaurant. Diners can actually witness batting practice or the whole game live thanks to floor-to-ceiling glass windows that look into the Rogers Centre.
