OTTAWA — The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) has launched a new informational video series for individuals considering this career path. With travel agencies and tour operators trying to recruit new talent, TICO suggests sharing the video series as part of the recruitment process.
The series includes four videos that speak to TICO certification, along with a focus on professionalism and consumer protection. The videos include career opportunities as a TICO-Certified travel professional; work flexibility as a TICO-Certified travel professional; a rewarding career as a TICO-Certified travel professional; becoming a TICO-Certified travel professional; and a compilation of all four videos.
Additionally, TICO is also collaborating with Ontario’s colleges that feature a Travel & Tourism program to highlight travel sales as a potential career path for students.
