ROSSLAND, B.C. —The Josie Hotel in Rossland, B.C. has been nominated as one of three global finalists for World’s Best New Ski Hotel — one of the most coveted categories in the prestigious World Ski Awards competition. The Noble House Hotels & Resorts property is also nominated for Canada’s Best Ski Boutique Hotel.

Inspired by Rossland’s rugged peaks, lush forests and 3,850 acres of unfettered skiing, The Josie offers luxe amenities, personalized service and a coveted location mere steps from RED Mountain Resort. Since opening in November 2018, the hotel — situated along the world-renowned Powder Highway — has attracted global interest among ski aficionados.

The Josie is one of three hotels to be nominated in the World Ski Awards’ World’s Best New Ski Hotel category and was also named among nine national nominees for Canada’s Best Ski Boutique Hotel. Votes are cast by professionals working within the ski industry, including senior executives, travel buyers, tour operators, agents and media, as well as by ski-tourism consumers.

“We’re blown away to be nominated as one of the world’s best new ski hotels, particularly among such stiff competition,” says Jesse Crockett, general manager of The Josie. “When we opened The Josie, one of our top priorities was to share Rossland’s story with the world, particularly since local culture is so deeply embedded in our hotel. It’s extremely gratifying that the World Ski Awards has recognized not only The Josie, but also Rossland, for excellence in ski tourism.”
