MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — The Dorchester Hotel in Collingwood, Ont. has joined Opal Hospitality’s portfolio.
For 129 years, The Dorchester Hotel at 172 Hurontario Street has been a landmark heritage building in Collingwood, Ont.’s downtown core. The building was first built in 1895 and was originally named The Dominion Hotel. It was later re-structured into apartment buildings, and then back to a hotel with a new name, The Dorchester.
The hotel has 28 guestrooms featuring record players, soaking tubs and full kitchenettes. The Dominion Room is an elevated meeting room designed to host corporate groups and special events, paying tribute to the hotel’s original name.
